Lightest structure

How Do Hollow Core Slabs Help Save Our Planet?

Environmental Impact Reduction

Hollow core slabs are prestressed members with tubular voids extending throughout the length of the slabs. Typically, hollow core slabs provide savings of up to 45% in concrete compared to plain cast in-situ RC slabs. With less concrete, there are fewer carbon emissions.

Waste Minimisation

Hollow core slabs are produced using state-of-the-art automated facilities, which not only optimise the consumption of raw material but are also able to minimise costly waste as slabs are produced with precision and of high quality.

Enhanced Thermal Performance

The voids within hollow core slabs can be utilised for insulation, improving the thermal efficiency of buildings. This feature reduces heating and cooling demands, resulting in lower energy consumption and aligning with sustainable building practices.

Optimisation of Cement Content

Our factory-controlled environment provides a platform for us to improve the efficiency of materials and energy consumption, and manufacturing processes. These enable us to minimise the use of cement in the manufacturing of hollow core slabs, contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions in the environment.

Versatile

Hollow-core slabs can be supported on all types of structural materials. Slabs can be supported by cast-in-situ or precast beams, steel beams, masonry blockwork, or precast load-bearing walls.
